Organza, also called Kora, is the sheerest of the Banarasi weaves, crisp to the touch and almost see-through in the way it catches light. It's not the easiest fabric to work with, which is why the Jamdani motifs on it are done by hand, adding extra threads into the weave one motif at a time instead of printing them on. That's what gives these sarees their raised, slightly textured pattern instead of a flat design.
